Heather is a native La Jollan who lives in a darling home in the Village area.
The home is securely fenced and cross fenced and seems to always be teaming with 4 legged campers. And she loves it that way! Her own dog is a 5 year old, large very friendly yellow lab mix named Sniffer. She works as a part-time Nanny for three children ages 6,8,10 who are very gentle and respectful of animals.
Heather has been taking canine campers into her home for about 4 years now and has a passion for it. In her own words, “I love to interact with them, exercise them and make sure they feel loved and happy”.
Heather is a wonderful addition to the Paws`N Play Host Family Team.

Hello fellow pet lovers! My name is Heather Switzer and I am a huge animal lover. I live with my son Sniffer who is 5 years old, we also live with Emily an 11 year old lab. I have been taking care of dogs for years and it makes me so happy. I love having lots of dogs running around the house, the more the better! I feel so at ease with dogs and I believe they feel the same way. I am a very nurturing person and I believe they can sense that.
We live in La Jolla and take advantage of the beauty of it everyday with long walks, beach trips, and hiking the foothills. I have a large, safely enclosed yard that the dogs can not escape! I ensure the best, loving care for your pets and will give them a home away from home. All the dogs sleep in the house and are welcome to sleep in my bed, on the sofas, or where ever they please. Our home is their home, so bring them on over! Hope to see you soon!
